Train

I was waiting for the train this past weekend after the big snow storm had hit Boston, and the platform isn't necessarily warm. I understand that! Heated lamps would be very nice for us all... however, I have yet to understand why it would be at all appropriate for a group of girls to start chanting "Brrrrr, it's cold in here, there must be some lesbians in this atmosphere"... really? That had to be done?? And it was not just one chant or two mind you, this went on for minutes!! Really? Who does that??

Holiday Party

Ok... I got an evite for a holiday party today and I quote the verbiage on the invitation (I couldn't make this up if I tried): "Please join me for a Holiday Open House party on 12/25/2009. Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Winter Solstice, join us in sharing in the spirit of the season. Stop by with your leftovers, unwanted gifts, a bottle of wine, or just good cheer. Come for an hour or come for the evening. Getaway from the family or bring them with you. Join old friends and new in some holiday cheer."

Ok, first off, wouldn't one assume that family would be a priority on Christmas day?? Moving on, the second sentence, while redundant, we will leave it for the time being. However the third sentence "stop by with your leftovers, unwanted gifts, a bottle of wine, or just good cheer" leaves a sour taste in my mouth because it made me throw up a little. Seriously?? You ask people to come over to your house and bring you their leftover food, gifts they don't want or bring you wine?? I can understand if you say you're going to bring gifts to a homeless shelter or orphanage later or dress up in a Santa suit and throw them off a roof - BUT bring them to you personally? UNBELIEVABLE!! Who does that??? And it doesn't end! This invitation is persistent enough to try to convince you to come over with all your loot and STAY with a bunch of people you don't know! How desperate do you think this person is to invite a bunch of random people and their random people over on Christmas day...

All this shows me, while it may very well have been made in good effort and fair standing with the best of intentions - it really illustrates the lack of couth some individuals in this society possess.

Vanity Plates

While driving I like to look at all the vanity plates out there to see if any of them are particularly clever. However, I found one the other day that simply said "N DOWD" - really??!!?? There was also another one, going in the complete opposite direction; "I PRAY" ... now really, is there a need for any of these 2 license plates to be printed and displayed proudly? Seriously...

Over the line

I had this guy follow me out of work one day when I was going on break to tell me how much he appreciated the fact that I was in such good shape and asked me what types of exercising I did.....he then proceeded to come back multiple times I was working to try to get me into geocaching...Who does that?!?!

Disappointing

My friend called me in the morning after a one night stand to tell me that she woke up in the middle of the night to him… taking care of himself… while she was sleeping in the bed with him! Who does that?!?!?!

Office humor

I heard a story this morning, this guy asks a co-worker for a pair of scissors. The guy answers "is one pair enough" then when the scissors are returned to him, he asked "you didn't cut yourself did you?" Really? Who does that??!!

Creepy

Who sends an acquaintance they have only met twice, who has shown zero interest in them, an EMAIL telling them they are "officially pursuing" them?? Who does that?!?!

Parents

Bringing your children to your adults only company Christmas party ... who does that???

Because

So, because of this particular story, I decided to start this blog because it was so utterly ridiculous, that all you can say is "Who does that?!"

A friend of mine found out they were losing their job and decided to hold a bowl-a thon to raise money for themselves and asked all of their friends to come and support them. Who does that??

And if that wasn't enough, they had T-shirts made to sell depicting their face! WHO DOES THAT?!
